Solü Technology Partners, Growing Division of Croop-LaFrance, is Launched as New Independent Company.
Rochester, NY—June 18, 2012—James R. Smith, President of Croop-LaFrance, announced today that the firm is spinning off its rapidly growing commercial services technology staffing, recruiting and managed services division into the new firm, Solü Technology Partners (solutechnology.com).
“With a steady double digit growth rate,” said Smith, “it was clear that the time was right to launch a growth strategy that will keep our roots in Rochester and also position us to offer our services beyond the western New York region. Our expansion will be wrapped around our client growth, which we expect to build in the same way we have over the last 17 years, through relationships.”
“For all our longstanding clients, nothing will change except for our name. We have the same management and the same mission - to provide collaborative, customized service, and as our new name incorporates, solutions,“ said Smith.
“Our goal is to connect our clients with the best possible technology professionals, making the most of every business opportunity,” added Smith. “And while there’s a new name for what we do, our commitment to effective, best practices and sustainable business remains unchanged.”
Driving the company’s expansion is Jerry Jewell, who will serve as Chief Operating Officer of Solü. Jewell, a long-time colleague of Smith’s, brings significant national leadership experience in the staffing and recruiting industry. He was formerly Vice President for Experis, a global leader in professional resourcing and project-based workforce solutions, and Senior Vice President for Ajilon, a leader in temporary and permanent recruitment services. Smith will serve as President of Solü.
“The launch of Solü is a promising indicator that our economy is improving,” said Jewell. “In our industry, we are the first to feel a recession and the first to feel it when it’s over. So the growth we are seeing now is a good sign. More than 86% of Solü business is repeat and referral based. The need for good people in technology remains constant. We have an energetic, talented recruiting team that is poised for expansion so we will continue to bring recruiters on board, both locally and where the clients are.”
