Job Description
Our client is looking to hire several tax and accounting professionals, ranging from junior to senior / supervisory level CPA’s. The position requires full-time and on-site tax professionals to be in our north Phoenix office.
Responsibilities
• Participate in client engagements by providing corporate, partnership, individual and trust tax services; devise, plan and execute tax strategies and research potential tax issues.
• Prepare and/or review returns for corporate, partnership, individual or trusts, including federal, state and local tax return, estimated payments and extensions.
• Build relationships with existing clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
• Senior CPAs will provide both leadership and supervision to Tax Preparation Staff
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required, Master of Tax preferred for senior roles
• Minimum of 3 years of related “tax preparation” experience for mid-level; Minimum of 8-10 years for senior level positions
• Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred
• CPA or licensed attorney preferred for the senior positions. If not a CPA or licensed attorney, must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA or attorney license in state of employment upon hire
• Proficient in corporate, partnership, estate and individual taxation
• Motivated to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client service
• Experience managing multiple client engagements
• Creative problem solving and research skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Additional Information
• During slow season, 6/15-8/15 office hours are 4 x 9-hour days with 3-day weekends, but still get paid for 40 hours
• Overtime compensation is available and expected during tax season
• Opportunity to advance up to partner level
